MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING
Objectives:
To get knowledge about various systems in Medical Surgical Nursing.
Provide comprehensive care in various Medical and Surgical patients.
To get more skill to do the demonstration and providing care.
To acquire advance technical expertise in the field of Medical Surgical Nursing.
Our Medical Surgical Department is one of the major pillar in the context of Nursing Education. It includes fundamental of Nursing, Medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Medical and Surgical Nursing I and II. In our department there are of 2 Assistant professors, 3 Lecturers and 7 clinical Instructors. We have well-equipped lab for pre-demonstrations, library for referring the contents and mannequins for Advanced life saving procedures. We are affiliated with various prestigious institutions like Narayana Hyrudayalaya, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology. Travancore Medical college, Regional Cancer Centre. Our department conducts various extension activities including Blood pressure camps, Health education for public, Observance of All important National and International Health days like World Health day, World Diabetic Day, World Heart Day, World Cancer Day. We have joint departmental research and CNE’s conducted regularly.
